About Alicia:
Alicia earned a BFA in Graphic Design from
The College of Saint Rose
and is currently working with Walter Bernard and Milton Glaser (WBMG)
as a full-time designer and studio manager. She
also
freelances
for
Paradoxy Products, working on
a range of design projects. Additionally
she works on the production side for Tom Bentkowski's projects with the
National Parks of New York Harbor Conservancy. Alicia also does
pro-bono work for The Women Advocates for Youth (The WAY) at a
non-profit agency in Cromwell, CT.
Her most recent assignment at WBMG featured her as the Art Director of the
start-up magazine,
Forbes India. Project
duties, beyond art direction
and design, included maintaining
client relationships with their
Mumbai
office, and
management of WBMG's staff and interns.
Other WBMG studio projects in which she has
been
involved
include
logotypes for ESPN Films,
ESPN RISE, ESPN 30 for 30,
Click2Care,
rCircle and the annual Artists & Writers Softball Game. She also worked
on
the book Edward Sorel: Mural
at the Waverly Inn.
Web work
included redesigning the website for The Walter Bernard Consultancy.
Additional print experience included assuming the responsibilities of
Art Director for the Spring 2007 issue of Plum magazine.
Alicia assisted on the HBO documentary film, Portraits of a Lady,
featuring former Supreme Court Justice, Sandra Day O’Connor. This piece
made the shortlist for the
2008 Academy
Awards. Other film work
included designing the film credits, DVD labels and logos for the Neil Leifer
films, “What About Sal?" and his HBO's Documentary film, "Sight Unseen".
In addition to design, Alicia loves
traveling, loose tea, photography, cupcakes,
wine tastings, beach days, blogging, reggae,
and bicycling around Manhattan.
